Equipment Reviews

Infraction systems

I really do worry that people get worried about this, so let me try to explain.

We have two levels: A red card and a yellow card.

If you receive a yellow card, firstly, its not a telling off PM and secondly its nothing personal. Its a merely a courtesy note to tell you we've changed the content of your post, usually because it does not meet one or more of the forum rules.

MWF Toolbar

I've had a look at a couple of toolbars to help with access to the forum from your browser. I've finally found one that I am happy with, and you can see the little advert for it at the bottom of each page.

I like this one as the privacy is good and the list of features it has is excellent. You can navigate straight to different sections of the fourm and view the latest topics from the RSS feeds. There is a weather forecast to your location and its customisable so that you can add other...

Forum Integration

Many of the problems associated with the additional extras, are to do with integrating them into the main forum. With such things as the gallery, you expect this to be difficult as its a sperate product. However, when you hit the same difficulties with such things as blogs, then you start to worry, as they are released as a plugin by the same vendor.

One of my biggest gripes was that whilst we could integrate blogs and photos, there has been nothing forthcoming that allows clearer...

Those of you that have been around MWF for a while, will realise that we are ALWAYS on the lookout for something new and exciting to make the forum a little bit different.

Already, we have chat, blogs, projects, a gallery, stormtracker, youtube videos, weather, flood and traffic warnings. Now its time to go to the next level!
